Jon Pilatzke is the fiddle player and stepdancer for Ireland’s own six-time Grammy Award winners The Chieftains, musical sensation Carlos Nunez of Spain, and is a co-creator of and performer in The StepCrew.  Jon is a three-time Canadian Stepdancing champion, a winner of a Canadian Gemini Award, and his most recent album ‘Amongst Friends’ was nominated for a Canadian Folk Music Award.

A lover of the stage from very young, Cara Butler is a 6 time National Irish dance Champion. She has been the principal female dancer with The Chieftains since 1992 and remains one of the most sought after performers and choreographers in the industry. Cara is famous for her starring role in the nationwide Folgers coffee commercial, ‘A Dancer’s Morning’, and is featured in Shania Twain’s video, ‘Don’t be Stupid’. In 2006, Cara co-created The StepCrew with Jon and Nathan Pilatzke, the acclaimed dance show featuring Irish, Tap and Ottawa Valley Stepdancing.

Dan Stacey, Fiddler/Stepper, entered the world of show business in 1998 landing a gig as a principal dancer/fiddler in Mirvish’s The Needfire in Toronto which gained him a Dora nomination for choreography. This led him to the music industry as a member of the Celtic rock super group Seven Nations while moonlighting with such traditional Irish acts as AltanDervish and Cherish the Ladies with the occasional appearance with The Chieftains. He was also an original member of The StepCrew until 2013.
